If you decide that you want me as your doula after an initial interview, I will:

• Meet with you and your partner before labor begins to discuss your plans and/or concerns for your birth, answer questions, and give you literature.
• Familiarize myself with your actual birth and infant care plan.
• Give you a professional hour-long pre-natal or post-partum massage, up to 4 weeks after birth
• Support you and your partner unconditionally during your labor and birth. This is about YOU and your wishes and desires. I can suggest laboring positions to help relieve discomfort and/or assist baby's position, provide massage during and between contractions, remember your birth plan, make sure your partner is fed and hydrated, and most importantly, offer constant encouragement with words, touch, or by listening. I will not leave you!
• Stay with you for an hour or two after birth, until you are relaxed and have had a chance to breastfeed, eat, and have any pressing questions answered.
• Visit you within the week following birth when you are settling in at home. I want to make sure you are having your needs met and baby is nursing well. If you need additional post-partum doula services or any other service, I can give you referrals to resources in your area.
• My fees for all of my services are $575, due in full at 37 weeks. I have a $200 retainer fee that is due at the time of the first pre-natal appointment (the retainer is part of the $575). If you have a financial hardship please talk with me as I also consider barter and reduced rates for those in need.
